In keeping with Maki’s post yesterday, I’ve included an outfit of my own, of a similar styling. Inexpensive sundress from H&M, styled with a vintage Dooney and Burke bag, courtesy of Maki’s Granny and contrast patent leather pumps from Zara, which were also a total steal at $49.90!

I had a hard time deciding what color shoes to wear with this navy blue dress with orange dot pattern.  I hate being matchy, but wearing a nude shoe would be the obvious (and – for me – undesirable) choice, so I racked my brain for a color that would compliment both the orange and the navy. I stumbled across these forest green patent pumps in a Zara store and it all came together!

The lesson: don’t rule anything out in the game of accessorizing. You might be surprised with what colors, textures and styles look good together!

Side Note: The H&M dress is obviously not vintage but it is a vintage-y style so the bag compliments it well. Check back with us for a post on the awesomeness of vintage later this week!
